This tour is filled with options and can be a different adventure each time. Based on tides and winds we can explore the shoals around the old train trestles or head up Coral Creek, exploring the mangrove lined waterway and talking about the fishing history of the area. Tide permitting we can take a step (paddle) into another world on an easy paddle through the beautiful mangrove tunnels of the Wolverton Trail where we will explore a magical mangrove forest from the inside out and learn a little about what makes these unique trees such a fundamental part of our ecosystem. During nesting season there is a lively rookery within a short paddle and we can enjoy the antics of the baby pelicans, and other birds that make their home there. Along the way, we will keep an eye out for the dolphins and manatees that are frequently spotted in the mouth of the creek. This is a great tour for spotting many of our fabulous water birds including the fabulous White Pelican that spends winter here in the sound. This paddle is suitable for all skill levels including beginners.

This is a beautiful, easy paddle across the grass flats or exploring the waterways on the southern end of Gasparilla Sound. We will spend a little time talking about the rich history of the area and keep a lookout for treasures large and small. While we can never promise marine mammal sightings, there are frequent sightings of both dolphins and manatees at this location. We can often get out to stretch the legs and do a little exploring along the shoreline or on a sandbar. Water shoes are recommended on all of our adventures!
This is a perfect adventure for 1st time or timid paddlers! (but everyone will enjoy this paddle)

Join Florida Girl for a day of sand and salty fun at Stump Pass Beach State Park. This park is considered a "true gem of the Florida State Parks". During this 3-hour adventure we will paddle the calm waters behind the park down to the sandbar near the pass. We will spend an hour or so swimming in the salty waters of the sandbar and exploring the shoreline along the pass for shells and sharks teeth. During shore bird nesting season (approx. February through August), we can catch glimpses of Tern, Skimmer and other chicks in their protected nesting areas. I always share information about any cool sea creatures we encounter along the way.
Please note: I am not affiliated with the Florida State Parks in any way, I merely utilize their public launch. Park staff will not be able to answer any questions about my tours. Please contact me directly with any inquiry. You will need to pay the park's entrance fee of $3 directly to the park. Please bring cash.

Join us for a beautiful adventure in our upper estuary. Paddle in the calm waters off Port Charlotte Beach and out into the top of Charlotte Harbor where the Peace River flows in. A place where the river meets the sea, estuaries are home to unique plant and animal communities that have adapted to brackish water—a mixture of fresh water from the river and salty seawater. Let us share the intoxicating beauty of these whiskey colored waters with you! We can explore the twists and turns of Lewes Creek or pop out into the harbor and explore the small beach areas on the west side towards the Mayakka Cutoff.
This location is an excellent spot for a Sunrise paddle! All tour launch times and lengths are customizable. Call us and we can extend this to a 3 hour adventure (an additional $15 per person) with more time to explore the small beaches and maybe have a picnic.

Take a step (paddle) into another world on this easy paddle through wide beautiful mangrove tunnels. We will explore a magical mangrove forest from the inside out and learn a little about what makes these unique trees such a fundamental part of our ecosystem. In contrast to the blue water nearer the ocean this adventure explores life in the brackish waters where the river meets the sea. We will spend about an hour exploring the mangrove tunnels then return to the launch along the shallow waters of the east wall of the Charlotte Harbor. Adventurous paddlers can hop out and wade on the shallow flats to look for moon snails, crown conchs, or horseshoe crabs. Keep an eye out as we paddle back over the shallow flats for other hardy creatures that make their homes here. This is a great tour for spotting many of our fabulous water birds. This paddle is suitable for all skill levels including beginners.
Please note: this tour is tide dependent. If it is not on the schedule it is because there is too much or too little water to navigate the tunnels.

Oyster beds, seagrass, and a rookery, oh my! One could spend the whole day exploring here and still find new things on your next visit. Adventurers can paddle up the serene tidal creeks into the Oyster Creek Environmental Park or around Cedar Point Environmental Park over the iconic oyster beds that give this place its name. There is endless natural beauty around every bend. When exploring the Cedar Point side there are a couple places to get out and explore a few of the park trails or just relax for a bit and watch the tiny fiddler crabs scurry about. There is a rookery near the mouth of the creek and Cedar Point is also the winter home to a pair of nesting bald eagles. With multiple options this tour can be completely different each time you visit. This paddle is suitable for all skill levels including beginners.

You can spend approximately 4 hours unwinding while island and sandbar hopping in Gasparilla Sound. The sound is a wonderland of wildlife and breathtaking views. We can explore the serene mangrove tunnels then pop out into the sound and wander among the sandbars searching for the beautiful shells, sea urchins, water birds, and the other creatures that roam them. Bring your lunch! Along the way, we will find a nice spot on one of the tiny islands dotting the sound for a picnic and some swimming. All the while keeping an eye out for the dolphins and manatees that frolic in these waters. This kayak or paddleboard tour is for the more seasoned outdoor enthusiast. We will paddle approximately 4 miles at a leisurely pace with frequent stops through the middle of the trip.
